The M.A.G.I.C. facility
(Multiple Absorption Gradient Interface Composite)

Quantum Digital Laboratories Pty Ltd are currently developing a Research and Development project with the aid of the department of Commerce and Trade in the form of a special project grant. They aim to create an in-house test facility with ambients and reflection coefficient the equivalent if not better than the existing Open Area Test Site at Gingin. (See 1st Time Testing/About EMC/Laboratories/SAT) The M.A.G.I.C. facility will ultimately offer a more economic and more importantly an accuracies advantage over the inefficient screened rooms currently being used. Partially or fully lined three metre anechoic chambers cannot be used for radiated emissions. The M.A.G.I.C. facility   will create a Site Attenuation Test Level to match or better existing OATS while situated in a metropolitan area.

The M.A.G.I.C.  facility, if successful, will be the FIRST synthetic test site in Australia. It will resolve all the problems and inadequacies currently plaguing small lined rooms.

This facillity will have a finished size of nine metres and contain a genuine three metre test site. The knowledge gained from this research will then be re-invested and a genuine ten metre test site will be designed and constructed. This will be the FIRST synthetic ten metre test site in Australia and will have a finished size of fifteen metres.
